The gallery of modern and contemporary art Matiss Сlub is based in 2003. Since that time it has united both the most known, and young gifted artists.
The gallery presents the works of Gelya Pisareva, Levon Lazarev, Anatoly Zaslavski, Aron Zinshtein, Vyacheslav Shraga, George Kovenchuk, Lev Smorgon and works of artists of Sterligova's and Sidlina's schools. Recently the gallery exposes artists of the European Union – Nadju the Block (France), Egori Kosku (Finland), Rikkardo Paterno Сastello (Italy). The gallery have exhibitions and propagation of modern art and sale of works of art. "Matiss Сlub" positions itself as gallery of modern fundamental art. The art of traditional technologies is showed here: paintings, drawings, sculptures and photograhy. And in rare instances - installation, media- and video-art.
The basic directions:
• informal art of Leningrad of 60-80th,
• the modern art (advantage is given to expressional direction).
"Matiss Сlub" differs from the others Petersburg galleries. Except the work with exhibition projects of modern painting and sculpture, the gallery created a sucesfull modern art school-studio.
